Stone Mortar Planter [VINTAGE]
This stone mortar is hand-carved in a technique reflecting early twentieth-century French craftsmanship, each piece shaped individually rather than cast from a single mold, so natural variations in color and scale are part of the object rather than a flaw. Good vintage condition, with a naturally weathered and pitted surface texture, visible mineral variation, and minor structural cracks that only add to its rustic, time-worn character. At just over five inches across, it works well planted with a small succulent or left empty as a weighty, tactile object on a console or windowsill.
