Turkish Stool - Carob
This stool is upholstered by master craftsmen in Turkey in siirt fabric, a textile woven from the long, silky mohair wool of the angora goat and originally developed in the southeastern Turkish city the fabric takes its name from. That mohair gives the surface a subtle sheen and a soft, substantial hand that a synthetic blend can't replicate. In a deep carob tone, it works as a low stool, an extra seat, or a side table surface for a tray or stack of books. At sixteen inches tall and twenty inches across, its compact scale makes it easy to tuck beside a sofa or armchair without crowding the room.
