This framed print reproduces Henry Joe Waldrum's "Ranchos de Taos," rendered through aquatint etching, a technique that builds up tonal depth through acid-bitten layers rather than a single pass of ink. The layered tones and careful detail bring real texture to New Mexico's architectural forms and surrounding landscape, the kind of depth a straight photograph wouldn't capture the same way. Excellent vintage condition throughout. At twenty-six inches square, it has enough scale to anchor a wall on its own, a strong fit for anyone drawn to Southwestern landscape art or printmaking technique specifically.
