Greek Revival Terracotta Planter [VINTAGE]
Striking terracotta planter, heavily inspired by ancient Greek red-figure pottery and Hellenistic design, this urn features a dark textured body offset by a rich reddish-brown band showcasing cream-colored running figures, reminiscent of the ancient Panathenaic Olympic games.
The vessel is flanked by two prominent, architectural handles that give it a commanding, Brutalist-meets-classical silhouette. It serves as a beautiful, high-contrast backdrop for lush greenery, sprawling succulents, or dried botanical arrangements.
Good vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age.
The decorative architectural handle elements have minor hairline stability cracks. To prevent damage, the planter should not be lifted or carried by the handles; please lift and move the piece safely by supporting it from the heavy pedestal base underneath. No major chips or structural body damage present.
