Ferm Living designed the Daya Lamp around the ethereal form of a Pieridae Butterfly Chrysalis, translating that organic shape into a non-woven polymer shade that functions as sculpture as much as illumination. The translucent material diffuses light in a soft, scattered way rather than casting a direct beam, creating a warm, cozy glow rather than task-level brightness. At over sixteen inches tall, it has enough scale to anchor a side table or console as a genuine design object, one that keeps working as a quiet sculptural form even when it's switched off.
