J. Hopper Art - Industrial Landscape - Medium Canvas
Original canvas artwork by J. Hopper, an artist who later worked in Tucson, Arizona. This minimalist industrial landscape features a small, abstracted horizon surrounded by an expansive warm ivory field. Muted gray forms suggest distant buildings and vegetation, while narrow bands of black and terracotta add definition and contrast.
Hopper was known for his disciplined, research-driven approach to art and design. His thoughtful methodology is reflected in the carefully balanced proportions, restrained palette, and deliberate use of negative space.
The artwork is painted on traditional artist’s canvas, stretched and secured over a wooden stretcher frame. It is unframed, with painted canvas edges, and can be displayed as is or placed in a decorative frame.
