Hand-Pinched Ceramic Vessel [VINTAGE]
This terracotta vessel is hand-pinched rather than thrown on a wheel, its organic, asymmetrical rim and earthy, textured surface recalling the style of Peter Voulkos, the artist widely credited with pushing American ceramics toward raw, expressive abstraction. That hand-built irregularity is the entire point, each dent and uneven edge a record of the making process. Good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use, and the natural variations in clay and firing inherent to the piece, with no major chips or cracks observed. At seven inches tall, it holds its own as a sculptural object worth handling as much as looking at.
