This stoneware vessel is hand-built with layered, carved ridges running across the surface, giving it a rugged, almost topographic texture rather than a smooth thrown finish. The earthy, one-of-a-kind quality comes directly from that hand-building process, since no mold or wheel could replicate the exact ridge pattern twice. Perfect vintage condition: structurally sound, with the expected age-related wear, texture variation, and natural patina that come with genuine vintage studio pottery, and no visible cracks or repairs. At over ten inches tall, it works best as a standalone art object, letting its carved texture do all the visual work.
